What a Saint Martin trip costs
Most guides quote a single number. The real cost depends on three choices: how you reach Cox's Bazar, which class you sail in, and what kind of room you want. Here is the honest shape of it.
Getting to Cox's Bazar
An overnight bus from Dhaka is the cheapest way and lands you there in time for the morning ship. A flight costs several times more and often arrives too late for the same day's sailing, which means a night in Cox's Bazar on top.
The ship
Return fares run roughly from ৳3,500 for deck seating up to about ৳20,000 for the top cabin classes, depending on the vessel and where you sit. Children aged five and under travel without a ticket.
A conservation fee of ৳100 per visitor is collected this season. Prices and fees are set each season, so treat these as the shape of it rather than a quote.
The room
Our own rates are fixed and shown in full before you pay — the price you see is the price you pay, tax included.
- Premium Tent — ৳6,000 a night, sleeps up to 4
- Deluxe Sea-Side — ৳9,000 a night, sleeps up to 4
- Super Deluxe — ৳12,000 a night, sleeps up to 4
- Premium Deluxe — ৳14,000 a night, for two
- Super Premium Sea-View — ৳18,000 a night, for two
- Super Luxury Sea-View — ৳50,000 a night, sleeps 5, breakfast for all five included
A tent sleeping four works out at ৳1,500 a head. That is the cheapest honest way to stay on the island at our end of it.
Food
Our restaurant, SeaSalt, serves seafood, Bangladeshi and Western food, with 300 seats indoors and 50 outside facing the sea. Whether breakfast is included depends on the room — the room page says so plainly, and the Super Luxury Sea-View includes it for all five guests.
Where people overspend
- Booking the ship late. The daily visitor cap means cheap classes sell out first, leaving only the expensive ones.
- Not carrying cash. Card signal drops. People end up paying for convenience.
- Planning a flight the same evening they sail back. If the sea turns, the ship does not run, and a missed flight costs more than a night's room.
Paying us
We take the full amount at the time of booking and confirm the room immediately. Nothing is due at the hotel. Our refund policy sets out what happens if the authorities close the island or cancel sailings — we move your stay at no extra charge.
